Greetings from Jakarta, the dynamic heart of Indonesia’s performing arts scene! I’m Erma Engelien, a seasoned performing arts coach known for my holistic approach to nurturing talent. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with the rising stars of Dua Anak Deo label, specifically coaching Daniel Pattinama, Axin, and Dnanda. This blog is a personal reflection on our journey together, filled with growth, challenges, and triumphs.
My philosophy centers around not just shaping skilled performers, but fostering well-rounded, expressive individuals. With each artist, I tailored my approach to their unique needs and goals. Daniel Pattinama, with his innate vocal prowess, was guided to delve deeper into his emotional reservoir to bring authenticity to every note. Axin’s journey focused on harmonizing her intense expressions with the subtle nuances of storytelling.
